Welcome to my blog, and welcome to my life! I'm looking forward to sharing this space and myself with you.
I've been pondering starting a blog for some time. I'm a high school teacher, and I always challenge my students to take risks in order to advance themselves toward their dreams. When I got an email and read a posting about following the dreams in your heart, I was actually with some of my students. I said to them that if I really walk my walk and talk my talk, I would take the risk and start my blog. Of course, they agreed. Funny thing about teenagers - they want to know what you're REALLY made of....! So, what you are reading is the result of my own risk taking, and accountability!
To let you know a little bit about me: I'm a Nebraska girl through and through. I have been a teacher and school administrator for 20 years in public and church school settings. I own my own home-based business. I love reading, scrapbooking, and quilting -- but don't have enough time to pursue any of them to my satisfaction. I hate exercise but love how I feel when I run (which, incidentally, I don't have enough time to pursue too much either!).
To let you know the most important things about me: I have the most amazing, handsome, incredible husband in the world. We have been married a little more than 2 years, and were both in our 40's when we married for the only time in our lives. My faith runs deep, and my heart longs to serve God, especially through serving others.
